Paltau tour passes through Chatcal nature reserve, which located in the spurs of Western Tien-Shan mountains. Word “Paltau” passed from Turkic language. Original name was Pulat tau, which means metalic mountain. From ancient times Paltau-say is famous by ore with rich content of metal. There are still some remains of smelting furnace, dated by the Middle Ages.

The route passes through various mountain landscapes.
Obi-Rakhmat grotto – cave settlement of primitive people from Paleolithic is first interesting sight on the route. On the place of excavations you will get information about unique discoveries and scientific significance of this sight.
Following the route goes in a canyon to Paltau waterfall, which is overthrowing from 38 meters height. At hot summer the water dust of the waterfall will relax and renew your strength.
The highest mark of the tour is birch grove, where under the shadow leaves you can enjoy meal and rest. There will be arranged VIP-picnic in national style with kurpacha (local matrasses) and dostarkhan (local small table). During the rest you can read the Red Book of flora and fauna of Chatcal nature reserve.
Beekeeper Ortygali aka is living just in 500 meters from the birch grove. The most part of his life he worked as a ranger of Chatcal reserve. Being hospitable and communicable man Ortygali aka can tell a lot of interesting stories and for sure will regale with his honey.
After rest you will go back on the opposite side of the canyon. Before your view will open nothing incomparable panorama of Paltau canyon, river flows on its botom, as well as mountain range, from the mountain Kungyrbuka to Paltau mountain.
After your return to "Chatcal Mountains" riverside resort, you will have possibility to order sauna and dinner in the restaurant “Mountain Greek”. During your dinner, for sure you will enjoy by exchanging of impressions about active spent day!
