EXP 03. Communism (Somoni) Peak (7495m), Pamir

Communism Peak is situated in the Northern-West part of Pamir where Academy of Science Ridge wedges into Peter the First Ridge. Military topographer I. Dorodiev did the geodetic shooting of the middle part of Fedchenko glacier and surrounding peaks that were unknown at that time. The coordinates of the peak and its height (7,495 m.) was defined in 1929 upon results of photo-geodetic shooting. In 1931 it was named Stalin Peak, in 1961 - Communism Peak, in 1999 - Somoni Peak.

EXP 03. Korjenevskaya Peak (7105m), Pamir

Korjenevskaya Peak is situated in the northern side of the Academy of Science Ridge, 13 km. far from Communism peak. The peak was discovered by Russian geographer N.Korjenevskiy on 23 August, 1910 and called after Evgeniya Korjenevskaya (the wife of the explorer). Since 1927 name Korjenevskaya peak appeared officially on geographical maps. The first successful ascent to the peak was done in 22 August 1953. The group consisted of 8 alpinists from Leningrad under the leadership of A.Ugarov reached the top from the North from Korjenevskaya glacier climbing along the Northern range. Now there are about 10 different complexity known routes to the top. The simplest, popular and safe way goes along the South ridge from the Korjenevskiy glacier.

CUT 03. Along Alexander Macedonskiy Road

An excursion-historical tour passes along the territory of two modern countries: Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. It repeats the part of the way of Alexander Macedonskiy Asian campaign.
Alexander had on bulls’ skins crossed to the right bank of Amudarya River and invaded the territory of Sogdian (an interfluve of Amudarya and Sirdarya). It took three years for the army of Alexander to conquest this region and suppress the often aroused rebellions. Here he got married a beautiful woman Roxana (the daughter of a local duke). Here in mountain regions for storming the fortresses Alexander for the first time in the world had successfully applied mountain special forces. During his campaign he founded many settlements, including big towns. One of them is Alexandria Eshata (Distant) – a modern Khodjent.
The tour is intended for those who love history, ethnography and oriental exotic.

UTK 01. Pamir – The Roof of the World

Unique tour along Pamir Highway introduces you to one of the forbidden places of our planet. There are only two places in the world (Tibet and Andes) where car roads are laid through the mountains on above 4 000 m height. You will be able to see the high Pamir Mountains, rivers and lakes, famous Vakhan Valley, ruins of ancient fortresses Kaakhka, Yamchun, Ratm, take a bath in curative thermal springs, meet with local people – pamiris, which preserved their cultural and centuries-old traditions. Uncomplicated mountaineering to Energy Peak in Fun Mountains - the prettiest mountain region of Gissar-Alay is a culmination of an interesting trekking during which you will be absorbed in the beauty of turquoise lakes and transcendental peaks (5000m); you will acclimatize yourself before the mountaineering. The itinerary to Energy peak though uncomplicated but it needs a very good physical conditions, psychological firmness and elementary ascend-descend abilities along the banisters and moving in roped party using crampons.

Chimtarga Peak (5489 m) – is the highest point of Fan Mountains in Gissar-Alay. The mountaineering passes along the itinerary 2A-2B category from Zindan gorge. You will have a good opportunity to see the unique beauty of Fan Mountains where among the pile of mountain peaks are scattered numerous turquoise lakes, on the banks of which are some places where the relict fir-tress have been kept; you can check your strength and climbing abilities on mountaineering, you will be acquainted with the way of life of Tajik people in mountain settlements.
