    Sensitive and reverent attitude to customs, traditions, and language allowed the Tajik people to develop and preserve an original, special culture, inextricably linked with the culture of other Central Asian peoples, but at the same time different, their own.

    The ancient Eastern fairy tale lives in the decorative and applied arts of Tajikistan: in juicy, bright woven fabrics, in intricate ornaments of gold and color embroidery, in patterns on wooden products, in jewelry items and various ceramics.

    Architectural monuments: public and religious buildings of the first Millennium BC, VII–VIII centuries AD, mosques, mausoleums, architectural complexes of the XI-XX centuries, the buildings of the Soviet and modern periods are an integral part of Tajik culture.

    The origins of musical culture of the Tajik people go back to ancient centuries to such States as Bactria, Sogdiana and Ustrushana. Heroic epos, labor, family, ritual, lyrical compositions and songs performed on folk instruments: dutar, dumbrak, Kashgar rubab, tanbur, gijak, nai, karnai, surnai, chang, tablak, nagor, doira, zang, kairok, setor, blandzikom, dafa are peculiar, melodic, incendiary.

    Going back to ancient rites, games, pre-Islamic religious rites and ceremonies, national Tajik dances, humorous, lyrical, militant and courageous, multi-part and one-part became the basis for Tajik ballet and a unique example of folk art of the Tajik people.

    Speaking about the culture of the Tajik people, it is impossible not to note their special hospitality, which, in fact, is a feature of all people of Central Asia. People give all the best what they have for guests. Special, memorable dishes of the Tajik national cuisine on dastarkhan are plov, shurbo, tandoori-kebab, kebab, kurutob, sambusa…
