This interesting one-day excursion will introduce you to the rich history of the region and monuments from different eras. Termez is the southernmost city of Uzbekistan. At different times, this region was part of the powerful states of Persia, Parthia, the Kushan and Seljuk kingdoms. It was here that Alexander the Great began his invasion of Central Asia. In I-III centuries. Termez was the center of Buddhism in Central Asia.
During the excursion you will visit:
- The Buddhist monasteries of Fayaz-Tepa (UNESCO site) and Kara-Tepa (I-IV centuries)
- The ancient settlement of Kampyr-tepa (IV century BC), associated by scientists with Alexandria Oxian
- Cult complex Sultan Saodat (X-XVIII centuries) - the family tomb of the Termez rulers - the Seyids
- Ruins of Kyrk-kyz (IX-XI centuries) - an original building, which in different eras was a temple of fire worshipers, a khanaka of dervishes
- Termez Archaeological Museum.
