Climbing to Peak Energia (5,120 m) and Peak Chimtarga (5,489 m), Fann Mountains (EXP 09)
Route: Dushanbe – mountaineering camp Artuch – Kulikalon lakes – lake Alaudin – Muddy lake – pass Chimtarga – Energy peak – Zindan Western canyon – Mirali pass – Chimtarga peak – Big Allo lake – Amshut river – Dushanbe
Chimtarga Peak (5489 m) – is the highest point of Fan Mountains in Gissar-Alay. The mountaineering passes along the itinerary 2A-2B category from Zindan gorge. You will have a good opportunity to see the unique beauty of Fan Mountains where among the pile of mountain peaks are scattered numerous turquoise lakes, on the banks of which are some places where the relict fir-tress have been kept; you can check your strength and climbing abilities on mountaineering, you will be acquainted with the way of life of Tajik people in mountain settlements.
Program conditions:
The route has a sports category of difficulty (2B according to the classification of the USSR), accessible to all tourists who are in good physical shape and have basic climbing skills - descending along the railings and walking in bundles using crampons. The weather during trekking is usually stable, warm, sunny, but rain and wind are possible. Daytime temperature, depending on altitude, from 10 to 30 C. Daytime crossings are 8-18 km, the maximum elevation difference is ~1700 m, the maximum height is 5489 m.a.s.l.
During the hike, things of tourists (no more than 12 kg/person) are carried by pack animals or porters. The group is accompanied by a mountain guide and a cook. Age restrictions - 18 years.
The mountain guide is the leader of the group and the authorized representative of the company on the route. The guide has the right to change the "thread" of the route due to weather or other conditions that threaten the safety of tourists.
Group gathering: tourists must arrive at the starting point of the tour on the day the program starts (in extreme cases, before 08:00 on the 2nd day). Expenses in case of early arrival / late departure (before the start / end date of the tour) are paid by the tourist additionally. Asia Adventures will help you book a hotel during this time, meet you at the airport and offer an additional program. In any case, you will be surrounded by our care and attention.
Each participant must have: a helmet, crampons, a chest harness, an ice ax, a backpack, a sleeping bag, a mat, warm clothes, comfortable trekking shoes, sneakers, waterproof and windproof outerwear, a flashlight, protective cream, sunglasses, a hat (Panama, cap, hat).
For small groups, it is possible to rent mountain equipment to ensure safety on the route: helmets, crampons, chest harnesses, ice axes.
Meals: food on the track is prepared by the Asia Adventures chef (tourist assistance is welcome).
Documents: You must have a foreign passport with a validity period of at least 3 months on the end date of the tour and medical insurance.
