Minaret of Islam-Khoja

Islam Khoja Minaret (1908) is a symbol of Khiva, its shape repeats the famous Kutlug-Timur minaret in Kunya Urgench, strongly narrowed to the top.
 
Towering to a height of 51 m, the minaret is visible from any part of the city. It served as a kind of beacon for trade caravans.
