Welcome to the Pamirs – where the sky meets the mountains and the grandeur of nature takes your breath away. This express tour to the Pamirs will give you unforgettable experiences in just 3 days. You will travel along the Kyrgyz section of the legendary Pamir Highway into the high-altitude Alay Valley, through winding mountain passes, picturesque valleys and peaks, summer pastures, shepherds’ yurts, and alpine meadows. We will reach the foothills of the legendary Lenin Peak (7,134 m) – one of the highest in the mountains – and spend the night in a real Kyrgyz yurt, the traditional home of nomads.
8:00. Meeting with the guide, short briefing, departure from Osh to the Alay Valley (200 km, 5 hours with stops for photo sessions). Along the way, enjoy magnificent natural landscapes. While crossing the Alay Range, we will pass two mountain passes: Chyyyrchyk (2,400 m) and Taldyk (3,615 m), and stop in the district center of Gulcha, where we will visit the Kurmanjan Datka Museum – the “Queen” of the Pamirs – an extraordinary woman who ruled over the peoples of the region in the late 19th – early 20th century. 13:30. Arrival in the mountain village of Sary-Tash, located at an altitude of 3,000 meters above sea level, from where a view opens onto the Alay Valley and the Pamirs. The vast Alay Valley (length – 150 km, width – 8–25 km, relative elevation from 2,200 to 3,500 m above sea level) is a geological and geographical boundary between two mountain systems: the Pamirs and the Gissar-Alay. 13:30 – 14:30. Lunch at a local café. 14:30. Then we continue our journey through the village of Sary-Mogol to the picturesque mountain lake Tulpar-Kul (85 km / ~1.5 hours). Accommodation in a yurt camp by the lake at high altitude. You’ll be warmly welcomed with traditional boorsoks, kaymak, and true mountain hospitality. Cozy yurts for 2 people with heating, electricity, and mobile signal. Behind you lies a fantastic transition from the heat of the Fergana Valley to the coolness of the Pamirs: warm during the day, refreshing at night. And the starry sky here is like a planetarium. 20:00 – Dinner at the yurt camp, prepared by local residents.
