The Andijan Museum of Literature and Art is one of the youngest museums in the city and the region. Founded in 1989, it has amassed a vast and fascinating collection of art objects, paintings, literary works, sculptures, folk art masterpieces, and much more over the past 20 years. The building housing the museum is a valuable architectural monument. It is the renowned Jami complex, which includes a mosque, minaret, and madrassa, built in 1892. The museum contains approximately 300 works of art, over 500 graphic works, approximately 30 sculptures, and over 1,000 pieces of folk art. All the museum halls are decorated in a uniform style, with elements of ethnic patterns and ornaments—the folk art of the region.
