Trip from Nukus to Aral Sea
ATTENTION! The excursion is individual, for any day you need and DOES NOT IMPLY joining any group.
This interesting and informative 2-day trip harmoniously combines the harsh climate, wild nature and beauty of the receding sea. The bright blue sea against the background of pink, green, white, striped and bizarre faults of the steep coast (chink) turns on the imagination and immerses you in an unknown other world. You will be one of the few who have had a chance to see the beauty of the drying up sea.
Not long ago, the Aral Sea-Lake was the 4th largest lake in the world by area. Today, it is only a small area of water near the eastern chink, but even in this form it looks like a real sea. On the way, you will pass through Lake Sudochie - a bird paradise where hundreds of thousands of birds nest, including migratory pink flamingos. You will swim in the ultra-salty waters of the Aral Sea, see an incredibly beautiful sunset, spend the night in Karakalpak yurts on the seashore. On the way back you will visit the ship cemetery in the former port of Muynak.
