Chimtarga peak and other peaks of Fan Mountains.
Chimtarga Peak (5487 m) - one of the most beautiful and highest peak of Fan Mountains (Gissaro-Alay). By attitude Chimtarga is less by 150m than highest peak of Europe - Elbrus.
Chimtarga is located in the heart of Fan Mountains between lakes Mutnye and Bolshoe Allo (Big Allo). There are alpinist routes from 2B to 6A categories to the summit of Chimtarga. First ascent was in 1935 year. The most popular route goes by Mirali pass.
There are more 8 peaks with altitude higher than 5000m in Fan Mountains: Bolshaya Ganza peak (Big Ganza, 5306m), Bodhona peak (5138m), Mirali peak (5132m), Chapdara Peak (5050m), Energiya peak (5120m), Zamok peak (Castle peak, 5120m), Malaya Ganza peak (Small Ganza, 5031m), Moskva peak (Moscow peak, 5046m).
Fan Mountains - centre for alpinists, rockclimbers and bigwall climbers. Rocky routes to the peaks Bodhona (5138m.), Parandas, Adamtash (4700m.), Zamok (Castle,5070m.), Zindon(4800m.), Mariya (4970m.), Mirali (5120m.), Chapdara (5050m.), Dukdon (4896m.), Saharnaya Golova (Sweet Head, 4971m.), Skalnaya Stena (Rocky Wall, 4800m.) are same difficulty levels or even higher than Aksu- Karavshin region in Kyrgyzstan.
Fan Mountains are good that during daily trekking tourists can hike to nearest high, but not difficult technically, 4000m+ peaks: Zmeya (snake), 4150m., Fizkultury i Sporta (4120m.), Gratuleta (4230m.), chinal with Fagitor spur (3900m), Payhamber (4958m.), Flyuorit (3450m.), Ruzeravat (3700m.) and others. And also 5000m+ peaks: Zamok (Castle, 5070m.), Energiya (Energy, 5120m.) with a wonderful and picturesque views and panoramas.
