The Museum of the history of Bukhara's water supply is located in the Chashma Ayuba Mausoleum, one of the oldest mausoleums built under Tamerlane in 1379-1380. By visiting the museum's exposition, you will learn a lot about the history of water supply in the Bukhara region of the X-XX centuries. The water museum in this building was opened for a reason. Exactly here there is a spring of cold water, which the inhabitants of Bukhara consider healing and sacred. According to legend, during times of drought, the inhabitants of the city prayed to God, asking him for water. In response to their plea, the biblical saint Ayub appeared, who created a life-giving spring with a hit of his staff on the ground. The most interesting exhibits of the museum are leather wineskins for water of the XVIII-XIX centuries, copper-chased dishes of the XVIII-XX centuries and ceramic water pipes of the XVIII-XIX centuries.
